Car accident leads to 1 death, 3 injuries

A motor vehicle collision tragically took the life of one man in Florida. In addition, three other individuals suffered injuries. The afternoon car accident involved three automobiles.

The collision took place at a little past 1:30 p.m. on a recent Wednesday. According to police, two cars were chasing one another right before the accident occurred. Apparently, both of the cars blew through a four-way stop.

Authorities reported that the car being pursued ended up crashing, and the car that was chasing it fled the scene. The car that crashed also reportedly hit the back of a third car. The 40-year-old driver of the car that crashed suffered critical injuries and was transported to the hospital. However, his 34-year-old passenger died at the accident scene.

The 72-year-old driver of the third car also suffered injuries and was taken to a medical center. The third car then struck a fourth automobile. The 80-year-old driver of this automobile suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital as well. The whereabouts of the car that left the crash scene remained unclear.

If the driver of the car that left the scene is found, both this driver and the other driver that reportedly went through the four-way stop before the car accident occurred may face civil litigation. The third and fourth cars' injured drivers and the surviving loved ones of the passenger who died in the collision may all choose to file liability claims against these parties, seeking the reimbursement of damages. Competent proof of negligence is required to establish liability before the civil court hearing the case. Only then will monetary damage claims be determined in Florida.
