Auto accident leads to 1 death, 4 injuries in Florida

One individual died in a recent Florida car collision. Meanwhile, four other individuals suffered injuries in the auto accident. The rollover crash took place on a Tuesday morning in the southwestern part of Miami-Dade County.

The crash occurred at a little past 7 a.m. According to authorities, a car was going south along 112th Avenue. All of a sudden, the car's driver drifted to the right and ran off the road. The driver overcorrected and thus entered oncoming traffic.

The car ended up colliding with an SUV and a minivan that were driving north along the avenue. The crash's impact caused both individuals inside the car that reportedly caused the crash to be thrown from the car and land on a grassy shoulder. One of these individuals died at the crash scene while the other was transported to the hospital by helicopter. Three other individuals were also taken to the hospital.

If a police investigation reveals that the injured party from the car caused the Florida accident, this person may face personal injury claims filed by the other injury victims, as well as a wrongful death claim filed by the surviving loved ones of the individual who died in the auto accident. Meanwhile, if the person who died is determined to have caused the wreck, all of the injured parties may opt to file personal injury claims against the deceased party's estate as well as against anyone else with an ownership interest in the car he was driving when the accident happened. Competent proof of negligence is required to establish liability before the court hearing the case. A successfully litigated claim might lead to a monetary award that may help with addressing hospital bills, burial expenses and other costs related to the fatal accident.
