Attorney Pedro A. Cofiño

Pedro A. Cofiño graduated from Nova University in 1980 with his Juris Doctorate. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he was a student at the University of Miami, where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting. He then went on to sit for the Florida Bar Exam while working as the president and CFO of a tile company. In 1981, Pedro was admitted to the Florida Bar. Pedro established his practice in that year as well, under Pedro A. Cofiño, P.A. It was in 1995 that he established Cofiño Trial Law.

Since being admitted to the bar over 25 years ago, Pedro has successfully worked in every single branch court in Dade County. He has tried many jury and non-jury cases. Pedro makes it his duty to stay on top of all the judiciary procedures, and the updated rules of civil procedures and evidence. He has also successfully argued before the Third- and Fourth- District Courts of Appeal.

Pedro is of Cuban heritage and fluently speaks English and Spanish. He is also a member of the International Law Society, Nova University Law Center, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Honor Society of the Beta Alpha Psi National Accounting Fraternity, the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Fraternity of Junior College.

Pedro is a Supreme Court of Family Law Mediator. A former president of the Miami Beach Bar Association, he has now adopted the role of Director in this association.
